NO_YA the brand is born out of a shared love for fashion and boobs. Oh, and a lot of anxiety for
boring stuff (sorry, we’re not trying to be rude here, please continue reading <3).
Anyway. I think we are drifting away from the point here. The point is: different is beautiful, different
is magical. Just like body’s and it’s boobs.
After a short mutual bathroom break, we decided to be friends (Yanissa offered Noelle a hairbrush on a rainy day) and not long after that, the small talk turned into ‘Your mom told me to tell you dinner will be ready by 7 tonight’ , and Noelle’s boyfriend had to share his number one position from that very hairbrush moment with Yanissa. In other words: we soon became a package deal.
As two kindred spirits who agreed on nearly everything, a lot of school projects were successfully tackled together. With Noelle as the creative brain and Yanissa as a practical thinker, together with our common passion for perfection, we both realized that we were actually a pretty damn good team. Except for that one time that Yanissa forgot to press ‘upload’ (she was under a lot of stress) and Noelle almost had a panic attack when receiving an e-mail the project was not submitted at all. Noelle cried dramatically in front of the teacher’, and they got an A after all (Yanissa is haunted till this day and occasionally still dreams about this uneventful moment).
Highly motivated to start our own business together some day, we both gained as much experience as possible to become really good in what we do. Noelle found her passion in marketing & branding whilst travelling the world to visit the biggest exhibitions meeting clients. Yanissa on the other hand, was living her best live in London working in product development & production for a couple years. Even though the distance really sucked sometimes, it only brought the friendship and business goal closer.
Whilst enjoying a glass (we all know this was not one glass lol what a lie) of wine and eating both our weight in mozzarella sticks we found ourselves complaining about our standard 9-5 jobs. We would instead fantasize about our ideal futures in which we would see ourselves living close to each other, would spend our working days together (sharing something special with the world) and most importantly: how we would celebrate life together.
Lingerie is something that kept us busy from a very young age. Although our shared love for stunning (and comfy) underwear did not grow at the same speed. Whilst Noelle was proudly dancing around the house showing her first bra to family, friends (and everyone else who wanted to congratulate her on becoming a woman) making a statement; Yanissa was hiding herself outside the store (embarrassed), while her mom was purchasing her first bra after weeks of arguing. Being the first one wearing a lace top was definitely NOT cool.
It was during a family holiday to Curacao in 2021, when we decided it became time to combine forces and turn our ambitions into an actual plan. This turned out to be the beginning of NO_YA. A year later, this dream became reality and 24/7 we were working our asses off to launch the first NO_YA collection from Noelle’s kitchen table in Breda, The Netherlands. The place where we both ended up living on not even a 5-minute walking distance from each other. Personal space is highly overrated btw, in case you were wondering.

Like our friendship, we strongly believe lingerie shouldn’t only be seen as a necessary product but as something FUN. NO_YA is not only here to offer high quality and outstanding lingerie, but we find it evenly important if not most important, to celebrate and rock life together with our stunning tribe, like we do with each other day in and out.
